Knowledge is the beginning
Knowledge is the beginning is a documentary that in essence showcases the power of music. The West-Eastern Divan Orchestra is not only known for beautifully played symphonies. The Orchestra is the musical home to Jewish and Arab musicians, playing the same song side-by-side. They string along to the same tune. Interprete all notes in the way same way. What is played is an in-sync melody. They’ve stepped over cultural differences and onto common ground.
It’s a story, a symbol, of what could happen on a much grander scale in the Middle East.
I have to watch this documentary.
